Recorder Techniques I
Students will be taught the skills needed to develop a strong music foundation. They will adhere to a curriculum that allows them to play recorder songs as they learn to identify and read music notation. A scaffolding approach will be used in order for students to fully comprehend the techniques associated with playing the recorder.
This class will be a fun way to introduce and provide your child with a greater sense of musicianship. The class is for 10 weeks and each session is 45 minutes. They will be assessed throughout the 10 weeks to ensure comprehension.
At the completion of the class, students will be able to independently play songs as well as be invited to take part in a recital. The 10- week course is for beginners and is open to children age 8 and up. Recorder, music, and supplies are included in the class fee. Music reading skills are not required for participation. All fees are due prior to the first class.

Maximum capacity is 20 students.
